Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo II 'Caliban'

A homologated car from a forgotten era that had been 'frankensteined' on both interior and chassis in order to tackle the harsh environment of the nuclear wasteland.

The already 2.5l Cosworth-tuned engine had been supercharged in order to compensate for the armaments and the armored body of the car. The car had the potential to reach max rev at around 9,000 rpm and top speed at around 250 km/h despite the weight dragging the vehicle down. The significantly wide (and bulletproof) slicks forced the Mercedes to have even wider fenders.

Due to its deformed and hideous appearance, wastelanders had been calling the car 'Caliban', based on a character in one of Shakespeare's plays. (His works had somewhat survived and was recited by many as a great influence among raiders in the wasteland).
